Black Man Born 2 Succeed (BMB2S) LLC is a unique company that provides business and casual apparel, fashion accessories, cologne, and books for Black men who seek success in their personal and professional lives. The company was founded in Atlanta, GA, in 2001 by Elvyn Arriola, the president, CEO, and founder, and Frank Johnson, the vice president of design. Elvyn took inspiration from his mother, Maria Laida, for creating BMB2S, We’re a Movement. We’re committed to empowering Black men and creating a community that supports each other. Our mission is to inspire and motivate our customers to be the best version of themselves and to achieve their goals. Black Man Born 2 Succeed (BMB2S) is more than just a brand is a lifestyle. We believe clothing is a powerful tool that can help instill pride, confidence, and a sense of identity in Black men. We’re committed to creating high-quality products that celebrate Black culture and tradition.

What BMB2S means to me…
Being apart of BMB2S is knowing what I have as a Black Man I’m fully capable of, knowing that I come from Kings and Queens that ruled for generations. Now that this is being formed it’s like I’m taking back my right to rule. To be a true leader that not wants the best for myself but the best for everyone (especially my brothers and sisters). It’s an honor to represent BMB2S at the highest level and I will continue to be The Standard for all my brothers.
I remember some 20+ yrs ago my brother Elvyn shared his fashion idea BMB2S (Black Man Born 2 Succeed). I told him I thought it was a great idea & to let me know of anything I could do to help get his dream off the ground. Well some trials and tribulations came about & the dream had to be shelved, but like the persistent man my brother is he rehashed his dream & now I am happy that not only can I see his dream coming to fruition, but I am honored to be a part of our dream as business partners. Sometimes God puts people in your life for a reason and we don’t know why until like a plant those relationships start to bear fruit. I appreciate my brother and applaud him for never giving up on his dream & allowing me to be apart of it. Congratulations!
El and I became acquainted about 20 years ago. However, our meeting was not intended on us becoming friends and now Brothers. Instead that meeting turned into an unbreakable brotherhood. In the most challenging times El was there for me, I did not have to run him down during these times. Our characters were spiritually bound to the point he knew when something was not right and he was there. At a time shortly after, we were both aware of our likeness in character and loyalty. El came with the plan to create a brand. He laid it out and most distinctively said Bro this is our brand, BMB2S and when it comes together, we and our people will grow from the brand. From that day until present his journey has not changed. El has always and continue to be 100% loyal to me and everyone he calls brother. I am honored to be apart of this venture as BMB2S journey is to re-empower our futures and the futures of our brothers and sisters. Please join BMB2S in giving back to our futures.
It’s crazy that I’ve known Mr. Elvyn Arriola for over 30 years now. His aunt Nancy introduced us and we have been like brothers ever since. He has also been my client that long as well. Elvyn shared his vision for BMB2S with me back in 2003 and I’ve been captivated with the dream ever since. I’m an artist and that was what he asked me to contribute to the vision. The meaning of the name “Black Man Born 2 Succeed” is what makes it mean so much to me. It’s been hard for my wife and I, raising our 6 children, 2 of which are Black Men and all I desire is for my 2 young kings is that they are successful. The Bible says you will know a good man by the fruit he bears, BMB2S is amazingly good fruit that’s why I’m passionate about this Vision
